Leading a team of around 20 people, our leadership comes from Managing Director Richard Patient and Chief Commercial Officer Matt Harmer. Here's a quick tour of the company:
Our parent company Thorncliffe was established in 1999, in Thorncliffe Road, near Brixton.
One of our earliest projects was the £4.5bn Brent Cross Cricklewood scheme, one of the most ambitious projects across Europe.
We were part of the radical change in terms of residential accommodation, with Pan Peninsula on the Isle of Dogs started in the mid 2000s. Our skills are now helping to transform numerous other boroughs, villages and cities across and the UK.
Since our beginning, our Your Shout brand helped us win campaigns on estates such the Aylesbury and Heygate in Southwark, West Hendon and Stonegrove in Barnet, and South Kilburn in Brent. Our fieldwork team is now driving our success in discovering folk to write letters of support.
We've now worked on countless major schemes, including for instance both AFC Wimbledon to Wimbledon AELTC Tennis.
We've also been at the forefront of the renewable sector, working extensively on wind farms until 2015, and now on solar, BESS, data centres, as well as wind.
We are one of only a handful of companies that has had a Code of Conduct approved by ORCL – the Office of the Registrar of Consultant Lobbyists, the semi-autonomous government body that “regulates” our industry. That’s because we adhere to a externally-enforced code of conduct.
We're also one of the very few in our industry to have achieved the Investors in People Gold standard, which helps ensure we delivered best practice in everything we do.
Yes of course they are, in the same way objectors are allowed to canvass for objections. We've had an opinion from a international legal firm that studied our processes and they concluded that there is no reason why councils should not upload and report on the comments from post-app engagement from Your Shout. Indeed they conclude that there is a small JR risk if the council does not take these comments into account.
Lots of people do. You probably know yourself lots of people who believe in development, but never actually make their voice heard - they are called the "silent majority". We all know that younger people tend to be in favour, as do some other demographics. Our job is to find them.
Most certainly. We organise exhibitions, and have our own consultation portal, communityUK. We organise workshops, charettes, talk to stakeholders and politicians. We produce SCIs - or Statements of Community Involvement. In fact, we do all the things you'd expect a consultation company to do, and more.
Yes, it's a matter of public record that several of our schemes we worked on have benefited from having thousands of letters of support. Of course, if you just want to identify 50 residents to write letters, we can do that too.
Yes, we are part of Thorncliffe.
We also operate the communityUK consultation platform.
We mange the Local Councils database.
