Local Plans for Lambeth

Consultation for Lambeth Council's local plans

We were commissioned by Lambeth Council to carry out the consultation to help develop the local plan for the old Lilian Baylis School site. The consultation investigated the potential uses for the site which included education, employment and housing uses.

This extensive consultation strategy began with our fieldworkers distributing leaflets and carrying out street surveys. Our in house fieldworkers met local people at varying sites at all times of day. We carefully logged all our interactions to be sure that we met with people from diverse and representative groups.

We brought members of the client team, local stakeholders and councillors together for a two day exhibition event. We followed this up with an evening exercise where we used simple models as a focus for local people to put forward their ideas.

We hosted a number of one to one meetings and coffee mornings for local residents and attended local interest group meetings. In response to our consultation the site was designated for housing.
